Seller Agreement
Straight rules. Zero tolerance. Clean deals. Selling a device to 214 Cellular means you agree to everything below — it protects you, us, and every honest seller we work with.
Last updated: September 29, 2026
We do not buy stolen or fraudulent phones. Ever.
We cooperate fully with law enforcement, record the electronic serial number of every device for audit trail and inquiry, and run every IMEI through SICKW, GSMA, and carrier blacklist databases before payment.
1. Agreement to these terms
- This Seller Agreement governs every device you sell or offer to sell to 214 Cellular, whether in person, by text message, through our website quote tool, or by shipment.
- By requesting a quote, accepting an offer, shipping a device to us, or accepting payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to every term on this page.
- If you do not agree to these terms, do not sell or ship a device to us.
2. Purchasing & lawful ownership
- We purchase devices only from their lawful owners. You must be at least 18 years old and present a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of sale.
- We reserve the right to refuse any seller, supplier, or device, at our sole discretion, with or without a stated reason.
- Accepting payment from 214 Cellular is your legal guarantee that the device was lawfully acquired, is fully paid off, and is free of any financing balance, lease, lien, or third-party claim.
- Devices that are activation-locked, carrier blacklisted, financed, or reported lost or stolen are not eligible for purchase under any circumstances.
3. Liability & indemnification
- The seller holds full legal responsibility for every device sold to 214 Cellular, before and after the transaction.
- The seller agrees to indemnify and hold harmless 214 Cellular, its owners, employees, and agents against any and all claims, demands, liens, encumbrances, losses, or damages arising from the sale or from any dispute over ownership or lawful acquisition of the device.
- The seller agrees to cover all defense costs, including reasonable attorney fees, incurred by 214 Cellular in connection with any such claim.
4. Zero tolerance for stolen or fraudulent devices
- We do not buy stolen or fraudulent phones. Ever. There are no exceptions.
- We cooperate fully with local, state, and federal law enforcement. If a device is flagged as lost, stolen, or fraudulently obtained, we will report it and provide all transaction records, identification, and device information to the investigating authorities.
- Attempting to sell a stolen or fraudulently obtained device may result in criminal prosecution.
5. Serial number & IMEI recording
- The electronic serial number (IMEI/ESN/MEID) of every device we purchase is recorded and retained as part of a permanent audit trail.
- Every device is screened through multiple databases — including SICKW, GSMA, and carrier blacklist services — before payment is issued.
- These records are kept for inquiry, audit, and law-enforcement purposes and may be shared with authorities upon lawful request.
6. Data wiping
- Every device purchased by 214 Cellular goes through a complete data wipe before resale.
- You are responsible for removing your personal accounts, passcodes, and activation locks (including iCloud/Find My and Google FRP) before the sale. Devices that remain locked cannot be purchased.
- Once a device has been wiped, its data cannot be recovered. 214 Cellular is not responsible for any data left on a device after the sale is complete.
7. Grading & final offer
- Online quotes are estimates based on the information you provide. Every device is checked against our published grading criteria — screen condition, back glass, battery health, Face ID, carrier status, and functionality — before payment.
- The final offer is confirmed only after inspection. If the device's condition, carrier status, or functionality differs from what was described, the offer will be adjusted or the device declined.
- If you decline a revised offer on a shipped device, the device will be returned to you as described in our shipping policy.
8. Shipping & transit
- If you ship a device to us, you are responsible for packaging it safely and using a trackable, insured shipping method.
- 214 Cellular is not responsible for shipments lost, stolen, or damaged in transit to our facility. Ownership and risk of loss transfer to 214 Cellular only when the device is physically received and accepted.
- We strongly recommend keeping your tracking number and shipping receipt until payment is complete.
9. Cooperation with law enforcement
- 214 Cellular maintains transaction records, seller identification, and device serial numbers for every purchase.
- We respond to lawful subpoenas, court orders, and law-enforcement inquiries, and we proactively report devices flagged as stolen or fraudulent.
10. Governing law & disputes
- This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
- Any dispute arising from a sale to 214 Cellular shall be resolved in the courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
11. Changes to this agreement
- We may update this Seller Agreement from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with a revised date.
- The version in effect on the date of your transaction governs that transaction.
