We Buy Nintendo Switch Consoles in Dallas

4 min read · Updated 2026-09-01

The Switch family is the most family-owned console in Texas, and it is also the one most likely to be sitting in a bag unused after the kids moved on. It still has strong resale value.

Switch models we buy

Screen type and generation drive most of the difference in price.

Current-generation Nintendo Switch hardware
Switch OLED, including special editions
Original Switch, both battery revisions
Switch Lite in all colours

Joy-Con drift and what it costs you

Drift is the most common Switch fault we see. It does not make your console unsellable — it is a known, inexpensive repair — but it is a deduction. Test both sticks in the controller calibration menu before you quote so the number you get is the number you keep.

Docks, cases and cards

Bring the dock, the HDMI cable and the official power adapter; third-party chargers have a reputation for bricking Switch units, so genuine Nintendo accessories are worth more. A microSD card full of digital games should be removed and kept.

Deregister and reset

Deregister the console as your primary system in your Nintendo Account so your digital purchases stay usable elsewhere, then do a full factory reset from System Settings. Remove any linked payment method first.
